Good news from the EDS family. Mr. Sounay Phothisane — a leader within the EDS × Aqqount group and Director of Aqqount Investment and Consulting — has been appointed to the Management Board of the SME Service Center (ສູນ ສບວ), a centre under the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI). The appointment was made by LNCCI Decision No. 1513/LNCCI, dated 12 October 2026, and the new board held its first meeting on 15 October 2026 in Vientiane.
At EDS, we have spent more than a decade helping Lao businesses grow, run and modernise. Seeing one of our own join a national board dedicated to small and medium enterprises is a proud moment — and a natural extension of the work we care about.
What the appointment means
The SME Service Center exists to help Lao small and medium enterprises start, formalise, grow and compete. Its new board brings together professionals from accounting, legal, finance, trade, technology and entrepreneurship — people who have actually built and advised businesses in Laos.
That mix matters. SMEs don’t need theory; they need practical help with the real obstacles in front of them. It’s the same belief that drives EDS every day.
Where EDS fits: the digital side of SME growth
